At the invitation of the Legal Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government, our Mr KM Liew had the honour of attending, as head prefect, the “Peking University Specialist Training Course for Hong Kong Legal Professionals”, in which he engaged in in-depth discussion with the Supreme People’s Court Judge, Director of the PRC’s Hong Kong and Macao Judicial Affairs Office, Division Director of the Ministry of Justice, Director-General of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, prominent professors from the schools of law and economics of the Peking University, on topics such as “Legal practice in respect of mutual legal assistance arrangements between the Mainland and Hong Kong” and “China’s Judicial System and Judicial Reform”.  Mr Liew successfully completed and passed the course and was awarded a certificate of completion. He also had the honour of visiting Baidu, Inc. and exchanging views with the team at its Patent Affairs Department.
